Have you watched the vid?
Closed for comments..... it's hard to put into words isn't it! Of all the detectors that have ever existed which of them are unable to balance on a stick? Am I missing something? :silent:

Yes, I saw that and, to be quite honest, thought it was a bit pointless - you will find the centre of gravity at some point along the shaft.

Or maybe it's just me

Complete waste of time that video.

Although you can see an XY screen, so I'm glad that's still an option on the new machine.

It was on Gary Blackwell's personal channel rather than the official XP one, it was just him mucking about.

He uses that channel for other stuff besides the skill school videos, he's done some videos about dowsing, some videos of his vintage detector collection and videos on trying to teach his dog to find hammered coins!

Good luck, has the added bonus that he can dig them up for you too.

I tried to get one of my cats to sniff a hammered coin and he tried to eat it, so I don't think he will be much use in the field.

Only as you mentioned it existed. I think it is to show folks that if they get bored detecting with it then they can play balance instead to while away a few hours?
Good things come to those who wait.

To be fair to Gary it was a video he hadn’t purposefully made. He was taking some still photos on his other camera and had left his video running. It was just a bit of fun
chill…karma will fix it

Yeah, he was just mucking about posting that one.

It does mean that he's been out in the field with the deus 2 and a camera though, so I'm hoping we'll get a video out of him soon.
