Button or more exciting. ID please.
Found this on The Big Dig over the weekend. I'm not a big button fan but I thought this is not your average button. I'm thinking button at first because of the loop, then started building my hopes up for something of more interesting as the loop isn't the normal one. A quick look on Google suggests Anglo Saxon. Please give me your thoughts, thank you.

Bit different design.
Could see why Google suggested AS.
Swirls are vaguely reminiscent of those on a Saucer Brooch but nowhere near.
Would have been happy to find that.
