Evening All,

Many thanks for accepting me onto the forum. I've been detecting now for around 5 years, starting out with a Garrett Ace 250 and then updating at the beginning of this year to the 400i. I got into detecting because I bought a little house that came with a lot of land which is pretty close to a 17th century church, the Fosse and a Viking settlement, and therefore always wondered what treasures may lie below. It's funny how detecting my own land has lead onto conversations with farmers on adjacent land and therefore managed to secure a few further permissions in the area.

On my first day detecting I popped a Lizzie penny out of my garden, and then an Edward I hammered! Once I saw that shiny silver, I was hooked! Since then my most notable find is a Tiberius Tribute Penny but I'm still waiting for that elusive gold! Fingers crossed for this year :D

Hope to see you all around the forums. Cheers

Jamie

Aye up Jamie, welcome into the hub

Wowsers, folk would give one of their arms to be able to find hammered coins in their garden
Really looking forward to hearing more about your experience so far, and some photos of your finds if you get the chance :clapping:

Great to have you here and we hope the Hub is of some use to you

Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

Hi Jamie and welcome, chap.

Look forward to seeing what you've managed to find with that there 400i, which was my first "proper" machine, which still gets an outing, and which has found me loads of good stuff and I love it. :D
