But then again, aren't they all? :D

This little fellah popped up yesterday. It was the only decent find of the day and found where I usually cop for Roman or Saxon stuff so was something of a pleasant surprise

I'm thinking Edward II class 11a Canterbury penny but while the legend is in decent enough nick and it's relatively unclipped, the bust and crown are shot. Well, I say the legend is in decent nick but there's something definitely dodgy going on with the "R" (at 4 o'clock).

Any thoughts grapefruitly welcomed as ever, and thanks for looking

Neoooow. One of these days I'm going to get these flaming coins nailed. I was going by what I thought was broken left ornament which is clearly intact after all  It was the serpentine 'S', wasn't it?

Thanks for that as ever, young Allectus
