I think you're right, Evan - it should be possible to nail it down a bit as, unlike some, this has some decent diagnostic detail remaining. I think the marks between the nag's legs point towards the mint and although incomplete it looks like it could be Moscow.

Hey Figgis, its about the only thing I can actually decifer. The o above the M giving the Moscow mint.
I would dearly love to try and narrow down the date. But finding it impossible
I cannot even actually tell the script side up from down
But will continue to search

I do some work in Russia and was once offered some local silver coins as a gift. I still have the photos somewhere, I’ll have to dig them out to see if they’re the same / similar
