There was mention yesterday on Radio 4 news that they are looking into relaxing some of the restrictions on outdoor pursuits and in the words of the commentator " some of the rules are ridiculous !" Would be nice if they relaxed the barmy rules for metal detecting on private land .

There was a perfect example of this on TV news the other evening, they were interviewing a couple that wanted to play tennis and they explained about all the covid safe rules and procedures the tennis club had brought in, but despite this they had to close the club down. So they were playing tennis in the public park adjacent to the tennis courts that were closed !!.

But do not worry over Christmas we have 5 days of freedom, where a significant percentage of the population will mix with each other and social distancing rules will go out of the window.

Then of course due to the spike in cases caused by the "5 days of Christmas" a large part of January and February will be "Lockdown 3.0"
