Found this bracelet pre lockdown, first thought it may be Iron Age, after looking through the PAS found similar and it’s Roman
I self recorded it as Roman bracelet and has been secondary ID’d by the museum as a fragment Roman Strip Bracelet

The field it came from is proving to be very interesting, found some really good things from Bronze Age to present day

Very nice, Steve.
Was looking on the PAS database yesterday and saw a similar piece from Oxfordshire.
Great find.
Dave.

Aside from the decoration, that's a dead ringer for one I'm about to record so I might just copy and paste your description

Thanks, Steve, but I have to make some kind of effort :D

If I had something to record which had a match on PAS recorded by my institution, I'd copy the basic record so it was worded the way they like it and change the minor details. You soon get used to their preferences and if you're feeling lazy it can saves loads of time

That's what I tend to do, look for similar, copy then edit then paste, as you say, in the way they like it recorded. it was what the FLO told me to do, they can then edit, in fact the bracelet I recorded a few words were only added by the second identifier

Ooh, there's a thought. There is a "copy record" option and nobody'd ever know... :D

Well, of course I would but Steve's such a lovely chap I'd not want to make him feel inadequate. See, mine's longer, a tad wider, and is beautifully formed with some interesting markings. It would have been much admired by the Roman Lady
