Always carefully proof-read what you've typed to see if you've any words out.

Firstly well done to TheFenTiger.

But I am in the same camp as Shaggy and did not know that there was a draw - I have checked the website and nothing there. However, there were the results of the 2019 Christmas draw, is this a 2020 Christmas draw?., if so is it an annual event as all the years I have been a member I do not remember having heard about it. Are all members automatically entered or have I missed the chance to take part?.

Gawd, maybe it was meant to be a surprise? 8-)

All NCMD members were included in the free draw and winners announced in Digging Deep. Guess you won’t have s copy Easylife, now you’re a free man of the road

Nice to know everybody was included.

However, at this time I have not recieved a copy of digging deep hence knowing nothing about it.

Oxgirl on page 4, doesn't she count as a page 3 girl :rollinglaughing: :rollinglaughing:

Well maybe I did or maybe I didn't? Maybe I just didn't read it? I'd much rather that they just saved the cost of printing and posting the mag and put the money to much better use instead, doesn't everyone have email these days? 🤔

No they don’t. A lot of our hobby live in a technophobic world

Even most old gits are fairly tech savvy these days, so what percentage are maybe not?🤔

Well, I am not! I tend to find something that works for me, and then stick with it...Take phones for instance, I only change my mobile when my current one is on the battered side or the step kids shame me into it lol....

You can't please everyone but you should at least try to reach as many people as you can. Different people have different preferences but at the end of the day I doubt you will get 100%. Having said that, there was a drive to get email addresses, the use of facebook is a positive and as they are volunteers, it would take a lot of looking after to run twitter and instagram accounts or youtube channels. That is the way of the world nowadays where you have to try to engage as many people as you can across many different platforms. All have their merits and drawbacks but equally, if the website was more dynamic then people could use it more. I am as guilty as the next for not visiting the website but it doesn't often change so I don't even think about it. If it is any consolation I am a member of another club that has over 100,000 members and their forum only gets used by a couple of hundred people so it is not a unique problem and they have the same complaints about receiving information.

I am grateful for the prize but I do wonder if the £10,000 could have been spent more wisely given the current circumstances.

BTW, my new coil arrived on Monday and with the 20% sale cost me £32 instead of £269 so pleased with that.
