So I am pretty much equinox 800 through and through, I love my machine and she never lets me down, always produces the good stuff without fail everytime I get out, for some reason which I can’t explain I was just on crawfords metal detecting site and ordered an XP deus 👀 sat there telling myself it’s always good to have a spare detector just in case you ever get an oh my god moments out in the field ...
Any tips or programmes would be great as I’ll have to test it to see what she performs like 👍

Hope everyone had a fantastic day and meryy Christmas to all

Every machine has its uses and places where it is needed and excels
Always good to have an arsenal of machines

Why do you think that a single frequency machine could possibly be better than the simultaneous multi-frequency one that you already have? I guess that you have never owned a Deus before and fancy comparing them both?
Settings wise just run it hard in any program at 2.5 reactivity. All the 'Special program' names are just minor adjustments to the rest of us!
You'll just hate it after the Nox, is it too late to cancel? :rollinglaughing:

Some times you just have to scratch that itch . You`ll always wonder if you don`t.
If your in the position to be able to ,why not ?So curiosity got the better of you ,it doesn`t matter , we only live once. Hope your not disappointed but the added bonus is, if you are ,your still left with a Nox that you enjoy ,so your in a position where you can`t lose . Choices are good to be able to have !So enjoy the ride.

Yes, mine's got a nasty habit of doing that

Other Noxophiles will be throwing their hands up in horror at your choice and I can hear the gnashing of teeth from here, but I don't think you'll regret it. Have a butchers at Gary Blackwell's many videos and maybe grab a couple of his custom programmes (like the Ultimate) to supplement the presets.

Hope you get on with it, and just shout for any help and info

Tip #1 - put the equinox back in its original box
Tip #2 - advertise it on a reputable forum or selling site.
Tip #3 - prepare to be amazed at just how good the Deus is.

Good luck with it, there’re plenty of experienced Deus users on here that can assist you —— it’ll be like going from driving a 1980 Ford Fiesta to driving a 2020 Tesla, so don’t be afraid to ask :rollinglaughing: :rollinglaughing: :rollinglaughing: :rollinglaughing:
Always carefully proof-read what you've typed to see if you've any words out.

Haha thanks all for the tips guys, I could never get rid of the equinox it’s been a brilliant machine to me 👀 but I think it will be interesting on the comparison between the two machines

I hated the nox after using Deus for years.

I honestly cannot remember, I burned the experience from my memory banks.  My message is: if you are a nox user or any user and get on well with your machine you will convince yourself that all the others are not as good. Over the last 40 years I feel I have always used the best available through testing. For a long long time it was Minelab (can't remember the exact model now). I moved over to Deus not because I thought Deus was 'better' I thought (at the time) it was about as good but IT WAS SO MUCH LIGHTER! I swung that heavy brute for so many years the sockets in my right shoulder are still loose/worn compared to my left shoulder. Now, with all the different programme computation choices I think it is better. However, as in the past, if something does come along that really is better I will be off, why wouldn't you?

FWIW,I have both and they’re great machines, some people prefer one or the other but I like both.
It’s a personal thing, there’s probably some that don’t like either of them and there’s some that are using older machines with great success which is all good in my book.
