My top 2 best finds where one that was found on my farm George 111 quarter guinea which I had put into a ring and the other which was a gold posey ring which was on my bosses land, the ring is going to auction and money raised will go to charity

Wow nice finds! I found a similar gold ring this year but without the posey stuff. Very jealous cause one of them is still very high on my wish list. Lovely coin too.

Even better I’m presuming both were from your family’s farm too, lucky thing :D
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

The gold coin was up the family farm in a field where a mill in the river was you can still see all the foundations in the river bank, the ring was on my bosses land that backs up to a church in a pretty remote place , not too far away was a suspected roman abbey but I’ve been unable to get permission on it 👎

I think by far 2020 has bought me some of my best finds yet! My all time favourite is my Tiberius 'Tribute Penny' Group 2c Denarius , found on one of my "done to death" permissions. My second is a common Edward I penny, but found at the end of my garden amongst a lot of iron rubbish whilst trying out my new Equinox 600! Since I believe detecting in your garden is allowed in lockdown III, I'd highly recommend getting out there for those that haven't already done so
