Hi folks, I found this little pendant on Sunday in a grass field, one that I hadn't visited before.

As far as I can tell it's silver, possibly silver plated as there aren't any visible hallmarks. It was 5 inches deep in the soil and the signal on the Nox was between 18 to 23.

I'm presuming that it's modern as it came out of the ground quite clean, no dark patina as such. I thought I'd better ask for some opinions to be safe. It's hollow and has soldered edges.

Nice little find that. my " guess " age wise is ,It`s from the 60`s era . The pattern to me doesn`t look old enough for Victorian as Victorian, you know it when you see it ,and yet too dated for todays style . So based on that my guess would be around the 60`s give or take a few years either side. I also get a feeling it could be foreign Looking at the Flower arrangement. It could well be Silver but from the picture it might be a slightly low grade Silver than Sterling. But if it came out not black that could be why.

Hi Pete, thanks for the info.

To be fair I only started to have doubts about it's possible age, after looking at the close up photos above. It seems to have a bit of a rough and unsymmetrical look to it? It may well just be a poorly made foreign item though.
