Spike for ID please

Perhaps it has broken off some farming tool or machinery? It's like a worn tine though quite slim, not a bad patina though. :Thinking:

What age range of stuff coming up near this find, may help to give an age range perhaps but not definitive, it does look old with the pitted patina and has a Roman look to me or even older?

My first thoughts were stylus and strongest out of anything else, but could be a pin or a bodkin even, one for the FLO for their thoughts on it :thumbsup:

Age range from Roman , Saxon through to late medieval . :thumbsup:
