Dating pewter

I hate finding pewter spoons sometimes cause dating many of them can be darned hard work. I find lots of spoons too, mainly fragments, usually just the bowl, so dating them can be pretty impossible.

Anyways I thought it might be helpful to create a thread so we can have somewhere to refer to good sources of info. I had a brilliant guide to dating spoons but I’ve lost it again :pulling hair out: Once I find it I’ll place it here.
