So yesterday I braved the outdoors to go detecting for the first time in months. My experience can be seen in my previous post, but I’d really like to identify this object.
It’s probably something Victorian but I don’t know what to make of it. Can you help?? ☺️

Problem is, i keep seeing a Snail.
Mysterious !
Good Luck,

Thanks Dave. I too see a snail, I like it. ☺️ it could be nothing particularly interesting, but it’s just an odd shape.

Could it be 1 of the 4 feet from a small pot or bowl type thing?
It doesnt look as though its snapped off, it looks like with the groove that it was positioned to hold something?
Hey my imagination is off again

There is a small hole in the bottom that I thought was made through corrosion, but maybe it’s from a fixing....🤷‍♀️☺️

Is it too small for a sash window catch?

It looks like a hammer off an old pistol, a toy one perhaps? but that's just the shape from first glance, depends what its made of, but a good suggestion of a foot off something like a trivet?

An intriguing item
