Wick trimmer?

Found this yesterday and thought initially it was part of a lock but now am falling on the side of a post medieval wick trimmer. Yah or nay think you? :Thinking:

Pasture with my XP deus on hot with X35 coil on HOT with frequency at 17.2khz

No idea what it is.
I’m afraid that would be in my curios pot in the back garden if I had found it.
Always carefully proof-read what you've typed to see if you've any words out.
Deus with 11" X35 and 9" HF coils. MI 6 pinpointer.

That’s cause I spend many more hours than even you do looking at finds on various groups and I knew it was a something I’d seen before. I think I enjoy solving these mysteries almost as much as detecting :lol:
