Yes, I`ve only just, for reasons totally unknown even to myself ,only just read this thread, so I must add thanks to both Efan and Ian for services rendered when really they didn`t have to bother in the first place ,but THEY DID,and its superb that both found in in their hearts to go forward and in their own time took upon such a task.
WELL DONE Both of you :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

I too have only just read this thread.
How satisfying for you - I occasionally peck away at my family history. This has inspired me to do more!

Hi everyone I only came across this post last night and couldn't believe that my Great Great Grandad John William Kinton's War badge had been found!!!
Well none of us Greasley Kinton's know about it!! Whom did you send the badge to?
My Great Grandad was Albert Edwin Kinton and my Grandad Peter Kinton.
I saw an earlier post stating you'd contacted Gersh's (Kinton Fish & Chip shop) grandchild!!!

I'd love to see it, I've added all your photos to my Ancestry tree.
Also I am a member of several genealogy sites hopefully I can help with any searching people need.

Hope to hear from you soon

Many thanks in advance

I was just wondering if the war badge ever got back to the family? I am the KINTON family researcher and I've just recently found John William's youngest son George Wilfred Kinton (1922-1961) had a son Michael Kinton (1957- present day) who is alive and well. As Grandson I think he may well be the closest living heir we have.
