This lump of bronze showed itself yesterday. Not sure what it is but it has good weight, exactly the same look and feel as the 17th century pestle I found on this same field and the gap inside has marks from where it was hand filed.

Thoughts? My only thinking was a rein guide? There’s a break on the end the curves.

Happy with that! I’m not finding much recently. Another powder cap, enough musket balls to supply an army and lots of lead rubbish. In fact my large lead bucket is nearly full now so I’ll need to weigh it in :Party:
