Possible knife pommel?

Found this last weekend, can’t think what else it could be, the zoomorphic item has the look of a bird perhaps, the top beak is very sharp the bottom part that I suspect would have met the top beak is missing

Thoughts on this would be appreciated before it goes indexed as unknown
