Hello all you lovely people & thanks for the invite Cath,
I'm Clint, 57 & living in Banbury, born in a village near Bicester, so most of my detecting takes me to a few farms near Banbury & Bicester, been detecting out with Dad for 30 years, before that bottle digging with him since I was 8, but at 91 he's slowing down a bit, so spending a lot of detecting on my own while having a word with myself!
Great to see you all, Combines are out starting the harvest ready for the mad few months,
so good luck out there all.
Clint

Lovely to see you here Clint. Glad to hear the combines are out. Send them along a few fields to my permissions please - they are only just getting the hay in and those Cropped fields need clearing 8-)
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

Hello Clint and welcome in

Fair play for your Dad just "slowing down" at 91....I have a feeling i would have started that a lot earlier
Well done though
Hope to see some finds once the season kicks off again, maybe a few from your bottle collection too

Hello Stanslad, nice to see another name I recognise. Welcome to ‘the gang’.

Combines already, lucky you. I went and had a nose at one of my permissions tonight. Look what they look like  Oh, flipping heck. What’s that. Sorry everyone, I don’t know how to turn it but if you do a hand-stand it looks fine :D

Thanks for the kind welcome you lovely lot,
Yep, 2 big fields of Barley that was put in before the horrible wet weather last year have been cut, a big one next to the M40 is where the motorway cut through an iron age banjo enclosure when extended in the late 1980s early 90s & some of the soil spread on the field, so might have a wander as the mother in law is visiting :o
