Was working up in Gods own country for the last couple of days, no not bleedin Yorkshire  Norfolk :D

Anyways, job lasted a little longer than was intended and ended up out on some fields with Nige and Mel, always an absolute pleasure, anyway, fields were fairly sparse of old finds, with a little bit of GW, not enough to be a problem but it was there.

I wasnt finding too much but then a few hammered showed themselves, an Edward I or is it Edward II farthing in pretty good nick with his clown nose on and a couple of short cross cut halves, one of which I thought was a quarter at first as it was folded over on itself, the George dump issue halfpenny was a nice one to end on as the soil had been reasonably kind to it.

Made a nice change to be out with others as I detect alone as a rule, thanks for the outing guys, all the best,
Phil

Sounds like a very enjoyable outing with some nice finds...

I do have one issue though... I have it on good authority from God himself that Wales is God's Country and he is a bit miffed you heathens across the border keep trying to appropriate it...He actually said this in Welsh but that was the gist of the conversation! :D

Nige and Mel? I should know who they are I expect except I have a sieve brain when it comes to names. A triple silver day is never to be sniffed at, excellent finds!
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking
