Evening gang,spent a few hours on the magic wand over the weekend with little to show for it,so as my concentration dropped I found myself pottery watching. What are any thoughts on age of this, I thought it was a light grey stone at first. It has rough inclusions similar to the mortarium.Dark on the inside and lighter outside. Cheers.

Could be Roman CD, I wouldnt say 100% though........there was a pottery guy on here at one point :thumbsup:

That's a dead ringer for some of mine which have come up from a definite Roman site.

Pity about Pottery man - he certainly knows his stuff and hopefully he'll be back.

Tell you what - I'll move this to the Pottery section as that's where he's most likely to reappear and see it :thumbsup:
