I found this worn (sigh) copper coin this afternoon and it was 7 to 8 inches deep in a sloping grass field. It gave a 23 signal on the Equinox.

I can just make out what appears to be a pair of wings on the reverse, possibly with a dagger pointing downwards into a circle? I didn't think there was anything on the obverse, but after looking at the pics I can just see a male bust facing to the left.

I've been searching online but I haven't found a match so far. The nearest reverse that I've seen so far was a Peso?

Any info very much appreciated.

Gawd glad someone knows what they are going as I’d have had no idea. Great to know what these mystery coins are :D
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

But how Allectus gets from those photos to that ID is still above me. Top man

This token was one of a "Political and social" series issued in Middlesex at that time including Newton, Handel, Tooke

If you enter "Political and social" in the search option at https://en.numista.com you can see them and others related, it would be great to find these in good condition.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - it's witchcraft. Nothing else would explain it.
