So went on the pasture field near where I found the silver button and the William 3 sixpence love token last week and lo and behold more silver  This time in the shape of a Georgian cufflink! Love finding these and even better when complete and undamaged. A very quick clean and it starts to sparkle. I’ll give it a more thorough going over later.

Plus I found this oval ring shaped frame, and in the same hole a tassle like thing. No idea what it is, but I like it :D Lovely to see Kevin too. Nice to go detecting with a friend - I shouldn’t be so rubbish arranging meet ups

Didn’t know they were Navy Captain ones :o Thank you! I know they are relatively common but I love them!

This is the second complete set I’ve found on this permission. The other lot were slightly earlier, but only by 50 years or so. Just delighted they aren’t Treasure, I’m bored of that paperwork! And nice to find a silver artefact to mix things up a bit

Well that’s one Xmas present sorted

Lovely and good condition, well found Cath. If they’re all Navy Captains links it explains why there are so many found. More Navy Captains than rich men back then.

Navy Captain cufflinks, Cath, well done.

Bonus of being non treasure.

Did Nelson originate from your area ? ;)
Cheers,
