I've only walked across this pasture field 2 or 3 times in about 4 years and found it to be extremely quiet of targets, but yesterday I thought I really ought to give it a better look. It was as quiet of targets as I expected until an air pistol showed then as quiet again after.

Sometimes you just have to try the seemingly least favourable options just to ring the changes. The session was looking quite dire until I eventually found an area of targets and a 1580 Lizzy I three pence came out to save the day.

The field wasn't too appealing so I decided to head home but detect back to the car in a straight line across some other fields. Along the way I dug more good signals than I wanted to but they were mostly just scrap. Then as I crossed the 'Silver field' the day got even better as it upheld it's reputation by producing an 1820 George III bullhead sixpence, a love token of sorts?

The inquisitive bullocks were in the next field...

...so I moved straight through into the next where I have detected the last two times.
I fancied my chances here better if I moved up the field a short way before cutting across. Then second target OMG! , the day suddenly just got so much much better indeed when I struck a gold coin, my best find of the year so far!
As I have said before I was quite expecting gold to come from the 'Silver field' but this field is the only one here where I have previously found a gold item though jewellery. So maybe I now have a 'Gold field' too?
Here's the other bits.

Oh, and the gold coin! :D

This time next year, you`ll be a millionaire !
You will be if you keep finding Silver at this rate, along with Ned Kelly`s stash.
Good Luck,
Dave.

That Bully has seen some action thats for sure

Not a bad haul though for a quiet field, and a lizzie is always a good sign of some people being there

Glad to see the silver field is still producing

You are braver than me around the newly turned out bullocks. They were getting a bit scary before they went in for the winter but I avoid them like the plague when newly turned out. They get far too over excited after the boredom of the sheds they’ve been cooped up in for the last few months :|
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

I'm surprised too but not complaining. I thought it was about done but it seems to want to keep on giving!

Where the sheds are is pretty scary around the mob and is just impossible to detect amongst them as quite likely to get trampled. But on this one a couple of miles away it's okay. I've only been attacked by horses here. But there was that time when a large bull kept pushing me in the chest so I jumped over the fence and laughed at him. :D
