I like it! So you do actually appear to have a sense of humour, or am I wrong and you are actually being serious?

It's uncanny your ability to regularly state the bleedin' obvious which is already so clear to many others, but much respect to you when you do real research. Yes of course I thought it was actually a knuckle duster, we all did, but thanks again for your no doubt great time and research effort I guess we can all now eliminate that possibility and sleep easy. :rollinglaughing: I have suitably corrected the topic header so as not to mislead any numpties, I do hope that meets your approval! Jolly well done.

It's just a bit of banter to entertain the troops and I'll say no more apart from stating that it is NOT a knuckle duster! :D

Is that a chamfered edge? It doesn't look that old, so my guess would be off some kind of machinery - a gasket or spacer for pipe work?
Always carefully proof-read what you've typed to see if you've any words out.

No chamfered edges, all quite square. Yes, not too old.

With respect BA I posted a perfectly valid comment "It certainly is NOT a knuckle duster." in response to "A knuckle duster?" which I took to be a valid question as many would by the question mark.

For trying to be helpful I get what I consider to be rude response of "I can't believe you actually posted that" so I believe that I am fully entitled to reply and defend my position.

Then when I say 'Anybody that uses any form of social media, including forums like this, needs to be aware that what one person considers "humour" might well be taken in a very different light by people reading it.' Which is common sense and good manners I get called " Dad" and a "numptie"!!
