I saw this mount.

So thought I had better fish mine out of the scrap bucket!
They are pressed metal, not cast as the PAS record claims, so I would think maybe not older than Victorian? It's quite like a curtain tie back hook to take a cord loop perhaps? In fact I also found another exact same hook part quite close to it. Should I put it back in the scrap bucket?
Snap, but is it scrap?

I reckon with things all like that, if it pleases you to look at it and touch it then keep it whatever the age, rarity etc. and if you find it fairly hideous then bin it! #hereendeththelesson!
