Evening all,
Please excuse the photos; I needed to tilt the coin enough to get some sort of definition with the light to be able to show what I can see in real life! I hope you can see what I can! it looks to be Arabic? Or Indian? I can't get anything out of the reverse so haven't bothered showing that.
Anyway, any help with the ID much appreciated.
Hope all well
Alexander

P.S just uploaded a video to YouTube ( I give the Hub a deserved credit as your IDs are always extremely helpful and appreciated) I won't keep pestering you by slapping the link in in a post!
(but there is a way of getting to it in my signature! Many thanks!)

It’s amazing how many coins from far flung lands made their way to the UK. Considering how hard it was to travel to India then it’s amazing how many went, and how many made it back! Good find!
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

very interesting you say that... I have been back to where I found it and found about 40 musket balls over a large area - mostly un fired by the look of them... and lots of them have not been rounded off - loose sprus all over them.... will post later
