They are building a new track through one of my favourite fields so it’d be rude not to check the spoil wouldn’t it 8-) Lots of musket balls, tonnes of pottery and this cut half. Presuming a Henry III?

It is in great condition, shame it wasn’t whole as it’d have been a stunning round coin

Nice find
On one of my permissions, the landowner dug out the ditch that separated the church from the Manor House. I was excited to run the coil over that spoil heal. The excitement didn't last long. I gave up after an hour, it was full of modern rubbish. Luckily, he banked it all up against the hedgerow and didn't scatter it.
Always carefully proof-read what you've typed to see if you've any words out.
Deus with 11" X35 and 9" HF coils. MI 6 pinpointer.

I was worried about that but not in this case thankfully. Found three big bits of bronze pot feet too on the last trip. I’ll do a write up at some point.
