Time to hit the fields...
With the ORX charged, and loads of YouTube vids watched, it was time to meet up with Bob79 out near Calne in Wiltshire, and time to see how the ORX performs.
Bob was using his Deus, in the hot program, I was using the ORX in "coin fast" running at 26khz. The first half hour or so we were both swinging over the same targets, to see how the ORX performs against the Deus, and also trying to I'd the targets from tone alone.
This actually went very well with no serious surprises, and no glaring mistakes.
The three tones of the ORX really are quite positive, and quite similar in structure to the original GoldMaxx Power, and if you listen to the sounds you can tell if there is a hint of iron in the signal.

I was obviously digging most good signals just to confirm my thoughts, but something happened out of the blue, that many will think is a fix! I had a pure clean mid tone, so I told Bob to swing over it, and there on the field was a bent hammered coin, my first for two years, and my first proper signal with the ORX.

I have just straightened the coin, and will post pictures in a little while.

Ok then the pictures...

First, these were the testing finds, less the usual hottie caps...

Well done getting another hammy, and it's a nice one. That has to inspire confidence in the new detector.

Excellent first outing! Just realised I no longer need to keep 100 feet away from you and your confounded Nox now 😊
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

Seems like a capable machine too and of course the sharp ears of its owner :ugeek:
