Here's a pleasant looking copper strap of sorts that would look good straightened out and cleaned up. The pattern is not pressed from the back and it is reasonably strong. I guess the design could date to around 1900? The strap is 22mm wide and about 210mm long, it has two adjustment holes. But what was it's purpose?

I think it will be getting some blowtorch annealing to help ease it straight. If it breaks hey ho, but if it doesn't it will look great! :D

Have a better idea if it's straightened, but right now it looks belt-like, which is odd for metal :D

Book related?

It survived!
It's made of springy brass and is the size of a bracelet, but is it one?

It is a bracelet that had been deliberately folded in half twice so maybe the result of a lovers tiff? :blow kiss: :D

It could be the lighting but it could really do with further cleaning, I've only used a brass brush on it.
