Three hole button?

I dug this little 10mm curio that came in at just 8 on the Nox, so made of some low conducting metal. It really is very button like in all aspects except for perhaps having three holes. I've seen buttons with three holes arranged in a triangle but not in a straight line, so what is it?

Looks more industrial , perhaps some kind of fastener/joint item /
