Looks like this one on PAS, and the one you’ve found are more likely to be a buckle

Looks pretty conclusive to me, thank you very much for that both of you.

Good luck - get yourself up to field 17, apparently a few nice things came up late today.
I'll never make it all the way up there, lol.

I'm going in the ones we couldn't get on today, they're pretty local and one connects to the field where I had a nice find today.

I was keeping a lookout for you but most of the time I'm trying not to fall over so I can't say I'm the most observant...

Yes it's sideways, I can't go through that crap signal upload again!

Edit: I'm not even there anymore, I'm at the bar.

You lot need to get on that Saxon field - there’s been quite a few coins come up I believe. Whatever field they are being found on is where I’d be

One chap had a lovely coenwulf penny, looked like it was fresh out of the dies - beautiful. Said it came in at a very iffy / scratchy signal at only 100mm down.

All the Youtubers were finding the Sceats, and I'm sure they'll be online in the near future, if you like that kind of thing. :D

I bumped into Kev, AKA Telstar, and wandered around with him for a while.
I've just got home, and the wife say "you should have stopped down there, I have my sister coming in tomorrow" NOW she flipping says..... arh well, club dig in the morning. :D

Not seen Telstar yet, normally bump into him, think I spotted Ian, aka Paint, wasn't totally sure never had his trademark braces on.

Back from the rally now, actually a while ago but I really needed a bath!

Nothing much else to report finds wise, found a little strap end but nothing much left on it, a nice little buckle and the biggest muzzle loader bullet I have ever seen, definitely wouldn't have wanted to be on the wrong end of that one.

Had a nice chat with Gary Blackwell, seems a nice chap in person, and overall I had a nice weekend.

The rally raised a whole bunch of money for the charities as well, they were on about 42 grand on Saturday evening.

Did have EOD on site today as someone found something that might have been live ordnance, EOD didn't think it was but blew it up anyway which was amusing, nice loud thump in the middle of the raffle. :)

Wow on the Saxon strap end - a stunning one :Star:

Hope Mrs P enjoyed her weekend too and a whole weekend of detecting hasn’t put her off!
