Found August 2016, the only gold I have found, landowner was over the moon and waived his 50% and gifted it to the museum, thought it was not real to start with, almost looked to good to be true

Clod shots do absolutely zilch for me .Soon as they are detected their into my finds box awaiting a shampoo & set when I get home.
I cringe when I see these phoney clod shots on the Youtube blatantly positioned and pressed into the earth with fresh mud or dirt to give the
" I just found it like this " look . I just don`t see the relevence of it all doing a 5 minute photo shoot when I could be detecting instead.
If I did that on 10 finds, that adds up to nigh on 50 minutes wasted detecting time..
Sorry its just the way I see it. And whats worse is I can`t find a smily to stick on the end which conveys my contempt for it all.

I am going to start calling you Victor. I like me a nice authentic clod shot. I never take 'em myself as I never take a camera or a phone when detecting. Can't be doing with it. I get the find out pronto and into the sky rocket and then beetle off home to clean it up. BUT..... in retrospect , there are several finds I wish I had total recall of the moment they emerged.
Can't do with the fake you tube ones....or the amount of faffing bout in videos with a find still stuck in the crud while the finder yaps on about what it might or might not be. that kind of artificial 'suspense' just irritates me. (Call me Mrs Victor )
But I do appreciate a nice clod shot....especially when i am finding beep all myself. It helps me visualise and keeps me positive. Lovely stuff.
