Just for anyone who may be interested, a quick update on the gold pendant and aestel/pin head terminal.
My FLO emailed me on Tuesday to say there seems to be some uncertainty on the dating of the pendant among the FLOs so she is writing to the finds adviser at the British Museum and will include the new find (aestel /pin head terminal ) also .
So at the moment it's just a waiting game, which I feel could go on for a very long time.
Treasure declaration form filled in and returned to FLO, and waiting until she is allowed to make appointments to hand finds in. FLO to notify Coroner also in hand.

I would like to give a BIG THANK YOU to everyone on the Hub for the fantastic comments of appreciation for my finds it really was quite staggering the show of support over the last couple of weeks, it really is appreciated.

As and when I get any further information I will keep anyone interested up to date.
Many thanks,
Reiver

Did your FLO mention the date range they're discussing?

No, she didn't mention any date range, I'm still in the dark on that ,which is quite frustrating.
Initially her thoughts were possible early Medieval but needed more investigation ,I think then consulted other FLOs ,which was inconclusive which is why I think she has gone to the finds adviser at the British Museum.
I can't wait to find out a date range , but I guess I'm just going to have to be patient.
Cheers, :pulling hair out:

I think everyone is interested in this

Thanks for the update - without having the items in hand, the FLOs will always play the dating game with caution - they don't want the ridiculed for being wrong.

I'm still going for Early medieval.

Thanks loads for the update. You’ve got everyone on TDH on tenterhooks. I think you’ll probably have to prepare for a long wait before you get a definitive answer. But good luck - we’ll all be hoping you really have made a historic find.

I’m in the early medieval camp too but whatever age it is they are beautiful finds and we’re loving the story as it unfolds :D
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

Have you been back to the area to search it further, or have you left if, waiting on guidance from the FLO etc?

They'll just say keep searching but stop when you find the main hoard. I'd have been straight back to see if there was any more and GPS marked the find spots.
Good things come to those who wait.

Just having a look through some older posts…. Any update on this?
Anything else come up form the location? Has the FLO now seen and dated these items properly?

Hi Shaggy,
Sorry ,no further updates at present.
Handed in to FLO in June, but still waiting for the report and dating on both pieces.
The suspense is killing me with regards to a date. :pulling hair out:

Find area gridded out and searched but nothing else of note turned up.

So just sitting tight at the moment waiting for the reports.
I will update the Hub as soon as I have any news.
Thanks for the interest
Cheers,
Reiver
