Went yesterday evening on my favourite pasture field with little hope of finding anything as the grass is too long - but I was desperate. Was however delighted to see the land owner has taken the top 3 foot off the bottom of one section of the field to build a new track. Had a fun 2 hours in the mud collecting a medieval harness pendant (poor condition but has a cross design), a Henry III voided long cross cut quarter (I think), what I think is a post medieval decorated dagger chape fragment, lots of musket balls, 2 post medieval double looped buckles and a weird powder cap that looks like it’s been bitten 😲. Doing the other half of the area tonight when it’s cooler 😎

Not sure about the lead alloy thing ? Nice quarter though and am sure you can clean up the harness pendant a bit :D :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Think it’s a cross Clint, no local connection on this one so far. Shame it isn’t in better condition really.

What a nice landowner taking off the top 3' for you like that.

Those finds just show what is out of normal detector range, and how deep items can work over the centuries.
