This decorated fragment appears to be a lead alloy item with iron inside. It has the feel of a dagger chape? Thoughts welcome.
Found with my trusted Deus on HOT with the 11” X35 coil with reactivity reduced to 2.5

Broken at both ends and riveted to iron? Lead alloy to add decoration but not practical for much else. That is a curious one, nice!
