I found item below long before lockdown, so recall the exact details anymore.
It’s been sitting in a misc find box bugging me as I am sure it was a “something” but have no idea what..
To me it looks like it could have been a lid to a bottle or jar, but that’s just a guess.
Any thoughts or comments would be most appreciated...

I agree a crude token or maybe a personal weight?
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

It just seems strange for a weight to have those curled over edges but I guess it's yet another lead item I will never know it's purpose...

If lead is handled often, specially for weighing stuff out, then naturally i would imagine the edges would start curling over like that?
Hot hands, soft lead
The top motif or markings could have been a standard and recognisable unit of weight back in the day and was always placed or handled that way up?
Probably talking nonsense as per, but Figgis is refusing to share his Gin tonight, so i'm stuck with Ty-Phoo tea (other teas are also available)

If only it could talk? Not a weight, I'd just scrap that!

It's been on the verge of being scrapped a couple of times, but then I get a nagging doubt : "What if ??"
I really did hope somebody was going to recognise it, but instead it looks like it's taken a step closer to the scrap bin!

I recognised it, I had one very similar and you can guess where that went.

Well of course not because that would be something recognisable.
