Found the small mount below earlier today and was wondering if anybody would care to estimate an age?

Thanks in advance

Peter

Thanks for that... I really have no idea but it’s quite crude in that it cast solid ie. no hollows on the back to save weight like some of the harness mounts I have found...

Yet another item for the FLO if she will ever book me in to see her! 😅

Cheers mate! 👍

After read the description, and taking into account conjunction the overall size ect, I would say mine is pretty much an exact match for the on listed on PAS....

Always a good (though by no means foolproof) indicator of a bit more age

Good ID Easylife

I’ve a few of those - well similar ones anyway! Nice finds. Usually lots of buckles and coins nearby too
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

Sadly not in this case....most of the other finds in the area were tombac buttons, shot gun bases and foil....Undoubtedly the dry soil conditions didn't help, but it is what it is....
