Good luck everyone, one of my friends is going to this one but it was too close to the RCM for me, I take a while to recover after a weekend in a tent these days!

Hope to see some nice finds and I hope the beer is nice and cold.

Thanks for posting Bob.

Had hardly any sleep again last night so cut home for a comfortable bed, rather than camping as planned. Not sure if I will bother to go back tomorrow or not.

Masses of land, more than 1 acre per person. BUT it is ALL very dry cultivated stubble that has been disked but NOT rolled. It proved what I already knew, the Achilles heel of the Nox is airy ground like this. On the whole the Dues users are finding the odd hammered and Roman, but the Nox users are really struggling with few finds.

All my permissions are old pasture with a lot of the finds being deep, where the Nox has a slight edge over the Dues, I also do some beach detecting where especially on the wet sand the Nox is superior. However, on this type of ground the Dues is significantly superior.

From a few comments I heard from Nox users I am not the only person to be unhappy with how the ground was. Although I appreciate the issues the farmer had in getting the ground to this stage it would have been nice to have been informed in advance that this was going to be the situation then I could have decided if it was worth bothering to go or not.
