Been going through my phone photos & came across this one of a silver bit of a find, it got pushed to the side sort of as me & Dad we’re more chuffed with the ring he picked up sat on the top while looking for pottery, I was reading an archeology magazine that had early Medieval & Viking finds in it which jogged the memory & made me look through phone pics to find it, could it be a part of these type of brooches or am I clutching the stubble straws to much?

Wowzers - can I go through your scrap boxes please? I suspect there’s more good stuff in there than I have in my good boxes

Very nice indeed

Cheers for the ID Tony,
Thank you all for your comments, it came off the large field where most of the Saxon bits come out,
After showing some bits at the church fete a couple of weeks ago, A farmer from near Bicester came up for a long chat & asked if I'd do some detecting on his fields after harvest, because he'd love to know what was on there years ago, it would be rude not to!
