Evening All,
Rushing around like a mad thing at the moment for various reasons but managed an hour scrubbing around lean patches in game cover and found this ... one of very few signals and a first for me... (you couldn't miss this one as it was quite close to the surface too!). I feel I am being a bit jammy at the moment but if anyone can tell me a bit more about it from what there is to go on that would be great!

That’s a lovely chunk of silver :Star: . Those 17th century shillings are certainly not common finds and definately one of my favourites!

Thanks!!!! I didn't think it looked quite right I don't know why I stuck with it rather than check the Charles Is....

I think i have 1 somewhere too (at least i think i remember it as a charles II ) that was literally sitting on the surface of a field i was walking through to get to where i thought i should go, of course i never made it past this find lol

Indeed that's a nice coin. Hammereds have never really tickled my pickles but always wanted to find a Charles 1. Suprised I haven't with the amount of civil war muskets I find.
