Found this ring a few days ago looks like it could be silver or white gold as very shiny for silver or just plated it is probably not very old but it’s worth at check as I can’t find anything like it online any info would be good
Cheers paint

Could it be a button frame with a thread wound around it?

Ohhhhh like that a lot :Star:

Going on a mission to find an ID for you. Did you clean it or did it come out with the silver wire so clean? Implies it’s white gold (as you thought) if you didn’t

I guess that a pic of the otherside is going to look different looking how the silver is wound around it? Looks like a copper ring?

There are some early medieval finger rings with three twisted wires, but they are cruder and this does look very cleanly made. Unusual though.

I only wiped it lightly in the field when damp the red and green started to come off so didn’t clean it to much until it was dry it came out of the same field as a coin of Elizabeth 1st coins next to a 17th century farmhouse didn’t realise it was silver coloured until lightly cleaned

Some more pics would be useful. I have a better impression of it now, so it's like wrapped twisted wire?

That's about the typical diameter for a man's finger ring - I'd guess it would be equivalent of a size T or U. I'd guess too big for a ladies ring. If it indeed a finger ring.
Nice find

Could it be a modern ladies hoop earring?

That'll be the oxidisation from the copper and brass that it's made of. A modern finger ring often made of copper, brass and silver to give three contrasting colours. Similar bracelets are made too, often sold at tourist places.
