Dont think its a bird ring, if it is then its a darn posh one
Is it large enough to be on like a walking stick or cane of some sort?

The scale is only 1mm squares so far too small for a walking stick

Yea you'll have to excuse me lol...not thinking straight

Well, maybe its a hawks rings?....they do seem to cherish those birds and have other silver items for them
Hopefully someone can decipher the lettering on there to give the year

They are aluminium, it's from the British Museum ornithology unit.

As said above its an old pigeon racing ring (for clarity the ring is old not the pigeon).

One here with near identical design https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/ ... -513205002

I saw that and wondered if the NURP is the National Union of Racing Pigeons. I can just imagine them going on strike and sitting around a coke can brazier demanding more corn and less flying hours!

It may well be possible to find the actual bird it came from. I wonder if 25 is 1925? if it is NUP? 25 BN 902
