This came from my back garden during a fit of lockdown desperation, I thought it was tat and put it in the tin with the other bits.

I'm only posting this now, because I've just seen something similar on Twitter and apparently they aren't always modern?

Hard to properly tell from one image, Andy, but them there markings don't look machine made to me :thumbsup:

Whereas Cath says she's useless at dating rings, I'm useless at dating anything but while it may be modern home-made, it certainly looks like it has a bit more age to it

Bull rings, plenty of other tat, but there's a one piece of rolled copper that I don't think I could get a firm ID on. I just have the feeling that it might be old, even though it's quite thin. When I look at it, I can't help but think it might be part of a scabbard.

I have been very wrong before though. :D
