Charles 2nd 4 pence and Berkeley button

Out for another short session this evening took my apprentice for a practice friend of my daughter and she found her first silver this evening George 6th sixpence :Party: anyway I had some first hole luck this evening when I dug a Charles 2nd groat couldn’t believe my luck then a bit later had a Berkeley button field not too far away from Berkeley castle away nice to find a bit of local history :thumbsup:

Very nice,especially the coin. My mate found one of those Berkeley buttons near Berkeley a couple of months ago.

Yes my luck is in at moment but could change anytime I have been using the 13” x35 coil for a while now and think it’s made a difference on some of my old permissions the last few nice finds have been quite deep may have walked over the finds before and not found them hopefully the run will continue :thumbsup:

I find the extra weight of the 13" coil slows my swing speed down slightly, what about you Ian.

Yes that might make a difference too Bob as the day goes on
I sometimes change back to a smaller coil so I can keep going the speed definitely goes up with the 9” coil :thumbsup:
