That thing is doing my brain in because I know I’ve seen one before but I can’t for the life of me remember what it was.

EDIT- definitely not a brooch. And could we have more photos of other angles in the hope it’ll lubricate someone’s brain? :D

The last photo shows a impressed name, i think it reads PERA with a letter in front which i carn't make out

Interesting little thing, but no idea what it is yet. I think maybe the stamp is T PERRY?

Hello Figgis, I think it definitely says PERA with either the letter T or L at the front, also don't you think it looks
like a bird ( Duck) or (Swan) it has a indentation on the back of the neck which i think could have supported a wire, very similar to some Roman Fibulars, also a thin line around the nose to represent a beak ??
