Ring found on club dig any ideas of date please

Found on stubble field in Gloucestershire not very deep with deus hot program have had lots of suggestions on the date from roman to medieval hopefully not modern it is very large size suggests it could have been worn over a gauntlet thanks for any help :thumbsup:

I have a couple of similar rings which I think are post medieval.
D2 - 13"x11" coil - audio only.

Hard to tell without the decoration being clearer but the shape could have a large range of dates. Whatever it is, it’s a wonderful find :Star: well done!

The first thing I thought was gauntlet ring, too - the thing is enormous!

Age is very hard to tell - to me it looks young and old at the same time :D
