After family holidaying for a week it was nice to get back out there( don’t tell the missus I said that!).
I went back to the ploughed and rolled field I finished on last time and had a quick wander about near where I found and eddy penny on the previous visit.
Ground was very dry and loose which didn’t help much !
Second hole an English Jetton appeared, from what I can find online it seems to be a king under canopy type. First English one I’ve had. A pot leg and a large stud soon followed so I settled down to grid the area. Lots of bits of lead and other scrap came up but with them some pre decimal coins including a nice William 3rd. Also a bow shaped mount, rectangular buckle,Roman grot and another pot leg.
There are two items I’d like opinions on if possible please, they look similar but were found a long way apart.one has traces of gilding and my first thought was medieval harness pendant hanger ?
Was using a deus lite, hot program, sens 95, reactivity 2.5, 25 kHz
Thanks for looking

Defo a harness pendant hanger :D

Nice permission that! Bet there’s hammered there too. Jettons and hammered generally like to be near each other

Lovely to see an English one!
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

Thanks Cath. The Eddie hammered I had on the previous visit was not far from where the Jetton was. I’m sure there are more hammered there but the dry airy ground conditions makes it hard!
It’s a big field but most of the older stuff comes from one relatively small area so maybe habitation? Not much pottery about but noisy on the hot program. I had a go on GMP for a short while but found it too quiet being used to the hot program feed back!
