At favourite farm fitting a couple of led floodlights to outside of grain store, done by midday so had a go until 6pm on a field next to the best one, the damp from recent downpours made a difference & the tiny bits of rubbish were coming up a treat! Had three small keepers by home time, a medieval buckle, a roman brooch that’s either well bent or little & yet another medieval annular brooch minus its pin to go with the others!

Nice finds Clint

The Roman brooch is interesting, ive had a couple similar to it and have come to the conclusion they were bent like that for a purpous, dont know for sure but its such a uniform bend.....not sure the spring would work as intended though, interesting find mate

ANOTHER medieval annular brooch  - how many have you had off that field then? You can keep your Roman but that’s a corker!
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

Thanks Cath
The total tally at the moment is 15, but there’s a couple more in the storage trays I can’t get at I think, will have to have a rummage!

Fascinating fibula, that. Never seen anything quite like it, but 15 medieval annular brooches is just plain greedy
