Nice silver there, but you may struggle getting a full ID with the second photo
Any chance he could get it a bit crisper?
If you put a tea mug on the table on a piece of white paper, then place the phone on the cup so the camera is over the edge of the cup, then you can tap the screen to focus and then take the shot,works very well for focus and shaky hands :thumbsup:

I agree the photos are awful it was taken on my car bonnet I’ll see if he can post me some better photos.

I cropped them a bit which helps, but good photos would be excellent if he can :thumbsup:

Looks like one of the curly-headed mob (Severan dynasty) and my money's on Septimius Severus but that might change once I've had another gin to get me eyeballs sorted :thumbsup:

I have no idea the ruler on your coin, but its a lovely conditon one considering its age.
I doubt that is the only silver coin in that area either, good luck on future hunts there :thumbsup:
